About

FR

I am an assistant professor at John Cabot University, in Rome, Italy. At its broadest, my research investigates the intersections between gender, race and cultures of environments.

My articles has appeared in peer-reviewed journals including Feminist Studies, Environmental Humanities, Feminist Review, South Atlantic Quarterly, Theory & Event and Studi Culturali, as well as media outlets such as Filmmaker Magazine, Il manifesto, and Jacobin Italia. My current book project, explores how the contemporary resurgence of socio-ecological commons challenges varied forms of extractive capitalism.

I was on the faculty at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland), and Northeastern University (Boston, Massachusetts). I received my Ph.D. from the Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies department at Rutgers University. Prior to my academic work, I worked as a journalist in Italy and the United States.
